I've watched both and grew up with both, so choosing is a little difficult. But, I find myself reading and watching more anime than cartoons nowadays. Maybe it's because there aren't that many cartoons that aren't comedies focused on entertaining adults. The difference between them for me is basically depth of the story and the details in the illustrations. I vote Anime is best!!!
