He was in his early twenties, his eyes glittering with joy knowing he will be entitled to a full scholarship in the states, his first trip to another country, overexcited was written all over him.
Gasim was an arab who was a top student at his graduation, and now on his was to a well know University in the states. He was a bright young man, having an excellent body built, being the captain of the schools gym and swimming club. his eyes were hazel and skin was whitish, he usually dressed in modern cloths unlike the common folks. his hard studies finally payed off, being the best scorer in his province.
as he was departuring from the international airport, his father gave him a hard hand shake and said: you will be the best man in our family if you finished this, make sure you team up with a bright colleague and study hard.
Gasim knew what his father was thinking, most of his family members were living like nomads in the outskirts of the cities attending to the heards of sheep an camels, his father always wanted him to have a better future to look up to. he smiled, you don’t worry dad, gasim said, I will make you proud of me.
and with that, Gasim went through the customs onto the plane, looking through his window, he was looking at his country for the first time, as if he wasn't going to see it again. it was a strange feeling he had, he tried to ignore it.
in the flight, Gasim was getting nervous before takeoff, was he making the right decision leaving his country for the next four years?

As the flight was having local and international detours, it has a good mix of passengers onboard. And just as Gasim was wondering what kind of person will sit next to him through out the long voyage, a very attractive and young lady softly placed herself on the seat next to Gasim, with a smiling face was checking her seats number and the token she had, and waving towards her family sitting on the seats ahead, she looked towards Gasim o say Hello, but instead, she gasped, Oh My God! Gasim not knowing what to say, he smiled and said, I am not a terrorist.
For a moment she paused, and then she giggled. I’m sorry, she said, I thought you were a typical Arab who don’t speak English, I would of died out of boredom.
