You’ve probably caught a glimpse of the future once or twice yourself. Did you act on it? Did you kick yourself for not acting on it?
This thread has three objectives:
1. Bullshit detection.
2. Predictions.
3. How to benefit.
Bullshit:
A lie is something that is not true. Truth is telling what is. Bullshit doesn’t care what’s true or false, it has another objective. Bullshit can make you feel stupid, keep you poor, or even get you killed.
Predictions:
You see things every day. You hear reports, discover something in column “A” while you were looking for something in column “B.” A little light goes off in your head. A mysterious corner of your brain has just given you a glimpse of the future.
How to benefit:
“Thars Gold in California!”
Gold, unlike ideas (which will pop up in a million minds at the same time), can be hidden. John Sutter didn’t have much luck stopping the California gold rush which overran his land, so what makes you think keeping your insights into the future will work out any better? To learn and grow, ideas need fertile ground. In fact, ideas are the only group that is smarter than its parts.
